On July 13, 1923, Local 7 was officially chartered as an AFM Local in Santa Ana CA!
On April 29th, we kicked of the celebration with “100 Years of Jazz”, a free concert sponsored by the MPTF and Arts OC. Narrated and led by tuba player, John Noreyko of Local 7, the octet took the audience on a musical journey through the decades. The full house included local jazz fans, city officials and labor federation staff. The Local was presented with a certificate of recognition from Orange County Supervisor Vicente Sarmiento.
