Our mission is to elevate and better the status and general welfare of musicians and music in the community by engaging in programs to promote within the general community the value of music and music education through community concerts and other activities, providing financial assistance and scholarships to music education programs and students of music, engaging in programs to promote the welfare of professional musicians, sponsoring events involving the public performance of music; and assisting members of Local 7, American Federation of Musicians through temporary periods of financial difficulty by providing assistance with meeting daily expenses for housing, utilities and other living expenses.
